Fill
fill
Sew the fill. Whether the fill is sewn. Off, it sews nothing, and the shape’s outline, if it has one, is sewn as its stroke settings say. The element before it still ends near it, as Ink/Stitch’s does.
- Accepts: true or false, in any case, or yes, y, t or 1 for true and no, n, f, 0 or off for false
- Default:
true - Ink/Stitch: same key, meaning and default
fill_method
Fill method. The stitch the area is filled with. A tatami fill sews rows of running stitches across it, and a
fill set to Ink/Stitch’s legacy fill is sewn as a tatami fill without underlay (SC-W0314). The
other methods arrive in later versions; until then an element set to one is skipped
(SC-W0011).
- Accepts: one of
tatami_fill(Tatami fill),circular_fill(Circular fill),contour_fill(Contour fill),cross_stitch(Cross stitch),guided_fill(Guided fill),linear_gradient_fill(Linear gradient fill),meander_fill(Meander fill),tartan_fill(Tartan fill),legacy_fill(Legacy fill) - Default:
tatami_fill - Ink/Stitch: same key and default; StitchCraft differs:
- DEV-FILL-014. A fill whose fill_method is legacy_fill is sewn as a tatami fill without underlay (SC-W0314), its rows routed and joined by travel stitches as a tatami fill’s are, from near the needle to near the next element. Ink/Stitch’s legacy fill sews each stretch of rows that join on its own, back and forth, with no travel stitches between stretches; its flip starts the rows from the other side, and its reverse sews the whole fill backwards. StitchCraft keeps both settings without reading them (SC-W0105).
