User guide
StitchCraft writes machine embroidery files from SVG files and VectorCraft documents. It also reads, draws and converts the files of other embroidery software. The guide follows the Diátaxis structure, with a section for each stitch type.
| Section | Use it to | Pages |
|---|---|---|
| Install | Build the stitch command | |
| Tutorials | Learn by doing, start to finish | Your first sew-out on a Brother, Turn an SVG into a PES file, A patch in VectorCraft |
| How-to guides | Solve one problem | Check a file, convert it, fit the hoop, report a bug |
| Stitch types | See what each stitch does and what its parameters change | Running stitch, lock stitches |
| Reference | Look up commands, parameters, messages and machines | |
| Explanation | Understand why embroidery behaves as it does | Embroidery basics |
StitchCraft makes the pictures and the command output in this guide when the docs are built. The reference pages are generated from its code, and CI fails when any of them is out of date.
